What is TRE?

TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercise) is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system.

Who can benefit from TRE?

Since this shaking mechanism in the muscles is part of our natural behavior as humans, everyone can benefit from TRE®.  It increases the resiliency of the body and reduces stress levels. The beauty of TRE is that once taught safely it is a self-healing tool that is available to an individual once the ‘formal’ intervention has completed. Although a relatively new modality it is being used worldwide with individuals and communities with high trauma backgrounds. The works simplicity means that it can be taught across languages and cultures with sensitivity and respect.
